Window Cleaning In Winter? GETTING READY FOR WINTER!
GETTING READY FOR WINTER!

Winter Is coming are you ready for it? Here are a few tips that could help you stay warm and keep you working!
Your HANDS and FEET, they are your most important tool. Keep them warm and dry. Cover your head and ears and remember that if you are feeling cold it’s OK to rest, don’t push yourself into the flu. Here are a few tips that have helped me through the cold Boston winters.
1. GLOVES: Top pick for me is the GLACIER GLOVE made from neoprene 3 millimeters thick. Although, you may need to wear a pair of stretch mittens to add extra warmth. You can also buy scuba diving gloves at your local dive shop, they make them out of the same materiel which is called Neoprene, a synthetic rubber produced by the polymerization of chloroprene. It is highly resistant to oil, heat, light, and oxidation. The thickness varies from (3 mm to 7 mm) and uses your own body heat to keep you warm. However, look into dry suit gloves. One thing you always want to do, and I know this a no brainier for all of us but it must be said ….. keep your hands DRY! Don’t use hot water to keep you hands warm, some have said they do just that and keep their hands warm all day. This is not practical or even safe!
First of all, if you are writing out receipts, it gets them all wet and you have to expose your hands to the harsh elements. Secondly, it opens the door to many
aliments such as cracking skin and sore joints. -– to be continued
