I’m starting a part time window cleaning business

Published by chatobstewart at 11:38 pm under Window cleaning Edit This

O.k. if you have seen any of my posts up till now, you will have read about the basics of starting a window cleaning business…  I will keep posting the guides I have in part and reviewing them but I want to make a bit of a confession… I DON’T have a window cleaning business anymore… NOPE, I do awning cleaning and when I set up my blog about that I’ll let you know.  See I started window cleaning some 20 years ago and when I moved to Florida I found the market was over whelmed with low ballers to the point the even in rich areas, people are paying $0.25 on the dollar for work.  So I went to my back up business.  Now I need to pick up the slack in the economy, so I am going to need extra money.  An I thought what a cool Idea if I started a part-time window cleaning business right along with you…

Now my goal is simple, I want to make an extra $200.00 a month just doing small window cleaning jobs.. Route work here is a huge challenge since there are so many people searching for work…

Last week my son and I spent 1 hour going from business to business with no business cards and well, I did not shave for a few days and I had on nothing special.  We got 2 leads and no work… In fact, we were told some one came in just that morning asking to do the windows.

That is what happens, but don’t worry, I did get a $1200.00 job for cleaning some awning… and they want me to bid the building of 4 floors… That should be about $3000 to $5000, but I don’t know if I can do it so I will sub it out.

All I’m looking for is route work… Job you show up to every week, bi-week or monthly….

So here is my challenge, whoever wants to start a business for some extra money leave a comment below and we will start a window cleaning business together…
